We are familiar with the red Admiral butterfly in the UK as a summer visitor from North Africa or Europe, although some hibernate over winter here. On the other side of the planet, in New Zealand there is a Red Admiral of the same Genus, vanessa, that is endemic and distinctly different.
We notice similarities that remind us of familiar features, but we also notice differences. Our Earth and the whole of humanity is composed of differences. Some subtle and others stark and all equally precious.
Let us not pretend to be the same, or try to fit in. Let us rejoyce in our uniqueness and our special qualities that we contribute to the whole. The rich diversity of Nature and Humanity is truely amazing.
Difference creates more of everything.
