Unseen Beauty

 Hiding and Self-Worth

This 'weed', a gift from a bird perhaps, was ignored, almost unseen and allowed to grow and flourish without judgement. It flowered and could then be identified as a Wild Carrot, sometimes known as Queen Anne's lace. It is a dainty, frothy umbrella-like structure. Its dull white umbels are crowned with a purple flower at its centre.

The Old Chestnut Tree

Nearly naked in a shallow pool of gold and mottled browns of it’s own making, the old Chestnut tree stands defiant and starkly bold. Surrounded by a lush verdant carpet, touched by droplets of silver harvested from the timeless swirling mist, it stands tall. Hear the breeze calling. See the leaves falling. Feel the seasons changing. Know the cycle of life. Beauty is everywhere to behold!
